Golf course architecture, one hole at a time

My love for golf really started in college - I worked as a groundskeeper at the Golden Horseshoe in Williamsburg, VA. It made me appreciate the subtleties of golf courses and the strategic design elements that go into the great ones. This site is an attempt to share some of those insights. Understanding course design has made the game so much more fun, even when I’m not playing well (which is often). I’ll add some pictures and travel advice along the way. This site is named for the boomerang green, one of the most fun features in golf.
